Calling all developers!

Have you ever seen the Oscars on TV? Ever wanted to be in the spotlight? Well now is your chance!

For the first time ever GetJar is organizing the 2010 Gettie Awards. The Getties are the industry’s first cross platform mobile app awards for developers. During one incredible evening top apps developers will be selected to win a new and prestigious industry award:

• The Gettie Award for best Android App
• The Gettie Award for best Blackberry App
• The Gettie Award for best J2ME App
• The Gettie Award for best iPhone App
• The Gettie Award for best Symbian App
• The Gettie Award for best Windows Mobile App

Finally, there will be a grand prize for the best overall app or unique: Gettie Award

To qualify you will have to have developed and launched your mobile app on any one of these platforms and have it available for download over the past 12 months. Submissions are global so you can submit your app whether you’re from the Bay Area, London, Stockholm, Berlin or Mumbai! Finalists will have their apps judged by industry heavyweights including:

• Rich Wong – Accel Partners
• Jessica Dolcourt – Editor and app reviewer at CNET
• Matt Marshall – Editor / CEO at Venturebeat
• Mike Rowelh – Mobile Monday / Chomp
• Kevin Thau – Twitter
